You forget one other consideration when designing AI products: should I design only in English, giving me access to the UK and possibly most states of the US and the anglosphere, or do I take on the far greater challenge of developing a multilingual AI product which can stand up to stringent EU legislation? And remember, for all the backslapping of the Eurocrats over having finally designed business friendly legislation (yeah right), it will be implemented by the same courts that time and again ruled in favour of Mr Schrems.
