The GDPR legislation has not yet been implemented in the UK and there are a number of variables that have been identified in this blog (e.g. UK approach to the 50+ Articles that give Member State flexibility) that increase the uncertainty about the nature of UK legislation. There are rumours that DP legislation will be announced in the Queens Speech (May 18).
To take account of the fact that Data Protection Officers require detailed GDPR training, any delegate who attends one of our BCS Practitioner Courses can attend our day long GDPR Workshop free of charge; existing delegates who have taken the BCS Practitioner qualification with Amberhawk (including on-site delegates) can attend any GDPR workshop at a reduced fee of £300+VAT. This will be the situation until the GDPR is fully incorporated into a revised syllabus by BCS (currently 42 hrs).
Upcoming courses
The next DP Practitioner courses starts in Leeds (24 May) and London (July 12).
All day GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR) WORKSHOPS are held in Edinburgh (May 20 & Oct 7), in London (May 23 & July 21) and in Douglas Isle of Man (July 1). More are planned in the Autumn (3 monthly ).
