I welcome most of the proposed changes as they seem to represent the needs of the data subject, for example, introducing opt in as a default for direct marketing. Greater liability for data processors is also to be welcomed as there are processors out there now who hold personal data on a scale greater than any one controller organization because they hold data for multiple clients.
